Get to know me!
Hello, world! My name is Meghan Drahota- but you can call me Meg. Currently, I am a sophomore at Drake University with majors in Digital Media Production and Advertising.
I have spent my whole life in Omaha, Nebraska, and it is quite possibly my favorite place ever. Seriously — the Omaha Board of Tourism should start paying me for how much I talk about it. Eventually, I plan on returning to Omaha, but first, I want to see where my career takes me in the mean time.
When I was young, my favorite activity was always to make videos. I would force my friends to star in music videos, talk shows, or any other weird ideas I had at the time. Looking back, they are all pretty bad and embarrassing, but I had so much fun making them that it was worth it. When I realized I could make a career out of all of that, I was hooked. I have never looked back since.
I attended Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart for high school where I really started to hone in on my digital media skills. All throughout high school I spent my free time in the school computer lab designing, editing, writing; doing whatever I could to be as creative as possible. I even had a film internship when I was a sophomore! When it came time to select a university, I chose Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Flash forward to now and I am more driven to create than ever. I am never bored. I always find myself searching for a new innovative project that I can work on. Currently, I am the Public Relations Chair for a new mental health awareness organization on campus called Active Minds. I am active in my sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma where I am constantly creating graphics and videos.
Feel free to reach out and contact me – let’s create something awesome together!
